We want to express major gratitude to everyone who helped make our Kids Night Out event a wonderful success!!
Thank you to the 42 children and their families, who all donated what they would have paid a babysitter, so their kids could have a “Night Out” and we could fill the coffers of our Emergency Fund for Citizens with $1540!!! We would like to offer our grateful and special thanks to:

We are so thankful for our wonderful community! The Emergency funds for Citizens are discreetly provided through the Hastings Youth Council and our Youth Advocate, JoAnn Reeds-Stokes, in the form of crisis grants. In addition to solving emergencies and restoring some security to families, the grants allow our Youth Advocates time to do whatever casework is needed to prepare families to move forward with whatever services or support they might need. The grants are provided to families having periodic difficulty paying for essentials like rent, heat, healthcare, school and camp trips, and other urgent needs. There is a cap per family, per year. All funding for this program is raised by the Friends of the Hastings Youth Council.
